Escapes from prison have always captured people’s attention, there are true stories and fictional novels that have been taken to the big screen, and the people who have never been caught in real life have become street legends, myths of a subculture which follows the infamous that have “beat the system”. México has now entered the list of famous prisons breaks, not even Alcatraz escape can compare to the the recent one of mexican drug-lord Joaquin Guzman Loera, AKA: “El Chapo”.

The underground, a tunnel, like the ones that are used to smuggle drugs into the USA, was all that "El Chapo" needed to scape the "most secure prison" in a country that have continuously been criticized for its corruption in government, even Secretary of Mexican Government, Osorio Chong, admitted that in the scape of the "El Chapo", there had to be some help from high government officials and people from prison.

The opposite political members of President Enrique Peña Nieto didn’t wait to launch direct missils of criticism, calling the break prison of "El Chapo", " shameful ", there was even those who asked the president to renounce the presidential chair.

Shameful or not, the prision break of “El Chapo", rouse more than humorous comments on internet social media, " El Chapo" outside of prison has brought fear among the people, especially here in Chihuahua, where the violence generated by the fight between the drug cartels for the local drug market and passageways to smuggle drugs into USA, known in the streets as “plaza”, can become more violent and bloodier.

“La Crónica de Chihuahua" so, went to the streets and asked people their opinion, and resulted that they didn’t feel safe, not even with the Mexican Army around, which is a huge change of perception, for the image of the Army was very respected whitin the people.

The Chihuahua failure

The Mexican State of Chihuahua gave a bracelet to the federal government that could give a GPS location of "El Chapo" at any time, but it wasn’t enough to contain the criminal, it even failed during the year in a half that Guzman Loera spend in prison, for it was revealed that it didn’t work, due to a block signal system for cellular or other type, this in the Federal Social Readaptation Center No. 1, the prison that held “El Chapo”, which is located on the State of Mexico, 16 miles from Toluca.

Chihuahua’s governor, Cesar Duarte, hasn’t made any comments about the bracelet, instead, he assured to the media that prisons in Chihuahua were not controlled by organized crime, and at the same time he announced the creation of twenty hundred jobs in the state, this thanks to his diplomatic visit to France, where he joined Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.

Cesar Duarte decided to stay in the other side of the globe even after learning of “El Chapo" escaped, while away, Secretary of Government Osorio Chong ordered a strong security operation in order to re-capture the running criminal, this in the Mexican state of Chihuahua.

Unemployed Chihuahua

The twenty hundred jobs announced by Governor Cesar Duarte, might not be enough to the twenty one thousand professionist that have graduated this year alone from Chihuahua’s universities; “La Crónica de Chihuahua” asked students and graduates if they found jobs in the market; most of them say there weren’t enough jobs out there. Unemployment, another problem that is escaping the hands of Mexican government.
